Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett, footballer Graham Le Saux, former EastEnders actor Todd Carty and TV presenter Coleen Nolan have been named as some of this year's Dancing On Ice contestants.

Also in the line-up for the show are ex-EastEnders and Hollyoaks actor Gemma Bissix, TV presenter Jeremy Edwards, rugby star Ellery Hanley, investigative reporter Donal MacIntyre, presenter Melinda Messenger and singer Ray Quinn.

Presenter Zoe Salmon, pop star Jessica Taylor and presenter Michael Underwood complete the list.

They will follow in the footsteps of previous winners Suzanne Shaw, Kyran Bracken and Gaynor Faye, performing live each week to win the approval of judges and viewers.

Singer and presenter Nolan, 43, who has lost five stone in weight over the last couple of years, told how practising had helped to tone her up.

She said: "It's weird for me, as, when I started watching Dancing On Ice, I was a size 20, thinking 'God, I could never do that'.

"And now, here I am being lifted as a size 10 and it's just amazing."

But she said she was not looking forward to the judges' comments, adding: "My problem is I still have a 36GG bust which makes me top-heavy."

Nolan, whose skating partner is Stuart Widdall, joked: "Luckily I get on with my partner very well as he's probably touched me more intimately than my husband."

Hanley, 47, told how his rugby-playing past will help him deal with criticism.

He said: "Because of my sporting background I'm used to people throwing bananas and calling me all sorts of names.

"People criticise you - it won't make any difference."

Le Saux, 40, joked that he needed a helmet after a bad fall on the ice left him in A&E a few weeks ago.

He said: "I split my mouth quite badly."

The football pundit said he had never skated in his life before until the middle of September.
